About Tuul

Tuul makes small, focused tools for files that ordinary software struggles with.

It started with security camera recordings. Recorders save footage in their own formats, and getting a clip onto a phone or into an email usually means installing unfamiliar software or uploading private footage to a stranger's server.

Every tool here works differently: it loads into your browser and does the work on your own device. Your files are read locally and the results are created locally. There's no upload, no queue and no account.

How the tools work

Video tools use FFmpeg, the open-source media library behind most video software, compiled to WebAssembly so it can run inside a web page. Where possible they copy the original video stream instead of re-encoding it, which keeps quality identical and makes conversion fast.
